OTHER THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO FROM COMIC GAMERS ASSEMBLE IN 2015

Presently I’m busy playing games and gathering my thoughts on the second chapter of my “Year of Acclaim” feature (something that’s proving to be EXTREMELY difficult), and on top of that I’m brainstorming up some new ideas I’d like to share with you for other parts of the year as well. Starting with:

APRIL

ULTIMATE MONTH

This will not hinder the “Year of Acclaim” game for the month, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, instead it’ll give you something else to look forward to in the month. April will mark the last time a comic under the Ultimate Marvel brand will be published, so for the entire month of April I’m going to review the games set in that universe. The layout will be as follows:

APRIL 6TH: Ultimate Spider-Man (GameCube)

APRIL 13TH: Ultimate Spider-Man (DS)

APRIL 20TH: Ultimate Spider-Man (Game Boy Advance)

APRIL 27TH: Spider-Man: Battle for New York (Game Boy Advance/DS)

MAY

May kicks off in a huge way with the highly (to put it lightly) anticipated sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron. As I’ve already exhausted all of the 8/16-bit Avengers game, I’ll be taking a look at the Wii U fighting game launch title, Avengers: Battle for Earth. I’ve played this game for many an hour on the Xbox 360 with Kinect controls and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to seeing how this version of the game plays.

JULY

FANTASTIC FOUR MONTH

As we approach the end of the summer, Fox will grace us with their reboot of the Fantastic Four. While we can’t speak on the quality of the film as no one has seen as much as a screen capture from it, this won’t stop we from reviewing a pile of FF games leading up to the films early August release. I haven’t decided on an order for these games yet, but expect to see the following: Fantastic Four (PSOne), Fantastic Four (GameCube/GBA/DS), Fantastic Four: Flame On (Game Goy Advance), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Xbox 360/Wii/DS).
