A NEW FIGHTER COMES TO INJUSTICE 2 AS A SURPRISE COMBATANT IS REVEALED

Mortal Kombat’s God of Thunder, Raiden, has become available to download for Injustice 2 for those who own the deluxe edition, and on the same day he was added, a fourth character was revealed for the game’s second Fighter Pack. The second round of downloadable fighters for Injustice 2 was announced in August with three characters: Black Manta, Raiden and Dark Horse’s Hellboy. During the Chasing the Cup special that aired on the CW yesterday evening, the Atom was unveiled to be coming to the game sometime in December as part of Fighter Pack 2. The Atom might be familiar to anyone who’s a fan of the CW’s slate of DC Comics shows where he has appeared as a guest star on Arrow and a regular on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow played by Brandon Routh. The iteration of the character on those shows has Dr. Raymond Palmer, the original Atom, in the suit, however the Atom as he appears in Injustice 2 will be Raymond Choi. Injustice 2 is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

  1. As much as love Raiden MK, I’d rather of had just more DC characters in Injustice 2. Raiden just doesn’t fit as a guest, unlike the horror movie villains or Kratos, that do.

    • The great thing about Raiden’s implementation into Injustice 2 though is that he brings with him a new DC Character: Black Lightning, via a premium DLC skin. He plays the same as Raiden, so you’re essentially getting two characters in one.

      • Yeah, I noticed that. Besides being a DLC character doesn’t give the character a part in the story. Just another person to fight with.
Maybe when they were developing Black Lightning they felt that his moveset was so similar MKX’s Raiden that they just said, let’s just make him Raiden/Black Lightning!

      • It’s something they use for other characters as well. Captain Cold can be Mr. Freeze, Flash can be Reverse Flash and I believe there’s another as well.
