Moments after the announcement of Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 comes more details about the game from business wire. First of all the game will launch November 14th for the PS4, Xbox One and PC with a Nintendo Switch version listed only as “this Holiday”. This marks the first time a Lego Marvel game will not get a dedicated handheld release as both Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Lego Marvel’s the Avengers had paired down versions for the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita. The only way to play Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 on the go it seems is via the Nintendo Switch hybrid.
The main antagonist this time around will be Kang the Conqueror with the heroes of the Marvel Universe teaming up once again to battle the time-travelling villain across the Chronopolis in locations like Ancient Egypt, the Old West, the planet Sakaar and New York City from the year 2099. Unique takes on characters will appear such as a Cowboy Captain America as well as Spider-Man 2099 and they’ll be joined by the likes of Thor, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Green Goblin and many more heroes and villains of which I’m sure we’ll hear about in the weeks and months ahead.
Previous Lego Marvel outings were limited to two players, however Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be able to be enjoyed by up to four players in both competitive and cooperative game modes. Full press release:
