One of the best parts of Lego Marvel Super Heroes was exploring the huge map of New York City: hunting down gold bricks, unlocking heroes and vehicles or just listening to the funny dialogue the random citizens would spout off as you walk, flew, or drove around. As the sequel is primarily focusing on the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a fear that was shared by many was that it would lack this beloved portion, and if it did have it, would it be stale visiting the same old map again.
Leave it to the folks at TT Games to address both of those concerns in one humourous two-and-a-half minute trailer. Not only does the new trailer for Lego Marvel’s The Avengers show off some new footage from the campaign, including how the dialogue from the film is implemented, but it also reveals that not only will we be exploring New York City this time around, but a few smaller maps as well (think the Lantern worlds from Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham) including such areas from the MCU as the Barton Farm, South Africa and Sokovia from Age of Ultron and even the realm eternal, Asgard. Check out the trailer below and being counting down the days until the game is released in January like I am:
