Batman games have been no stranger to Season Passes: In 2013 Batman: Arkham Origins had one as well as Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and now WB Games has announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will be getting one too. Promising content for up to six months post launch (which I’m assuming will then be collected in a GOTY edition), purchasing the Season Pass will give you new story missions, additional super-villains, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks.
And here I was excited that I had almost paid off my copy of the standard edition of the game.
The price point has been announced by other news outlets and it’s pretty steep: $39.99 a la carte or $99 if you buy it along with the game. As much as I love the Arkham series this will be a wait and see for me personally. I’m not really a fan of challenge maps or skins and would only be really interested in the extra story missions so until more information is given on what those are, I’ll be holding onto my money. That all being said, I will also probably be the sucker who buys this game again either later in the year or in 2016 when its all collected into one game.
