Say what you will about Marvel almost exclusively throwing their video game hat into the mobile/free-to-play market, but they’ve used the ability to update those games on a consistent basis to show off some of their newer characters to an audience that may be unfamiliar with. Case in point: Ms. Marvel, the new legacy character who happens to star in one of Marvel’s best ongoing titles right now who will soon become a playable character in their take on D3’s Puzzle Quest. The new Ms. Marvel, Kamala Kahn, is a Muslim-American teenager who after being exposed to terrigan mist (see the most recent episodes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D if you’re not a comic reader) has the ability to stretch her body as well as shrink and grow and takes on Carol Danver’s, the new Captain Marvel, alter ego. In Marvel Puzzle Quest, Kamala will put these abilities to use along with her positive attitude that will boost other players abilities.
This isn’t the first time that Marvel has used the Puzzle Quest platform to introduce one of its legacy characters into the video game world. Last fall the new female Thor also made her first appearance in a video game through the same game as well.
Marvel Puzzle Quest is available for free on Android, iOS and PC. Also if you want to get caught up on Kamala’s adventures you can buy two full collected volumes online or at your local comic shop that make up the first eleven issues of the new series.
