BATMAN BEYOND AKA BATMAN OF THE FUTURE CONTENT COMING EXCLUSIVE TO EU PLAYSTATION CONSOLES FOR LEGO BATMAN 3

A couple of weeks back I wrote a feature about what expansion sets I wanted to see in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Just as I hit the publish button, I silently said “Oh, sh–!!” as I just thought of one more that could be really great: Batman Beyond. Someone at TT Games appears to have picked up from my mistake, as today they announced the “Batman of the Future” (Batman Beyond for those on this side of the pond) pack, exclusive to PS3/4 systems in Europe.

The pack doesn’t add any new missions, however it does add a plethora of Batman Beyond themed characters. The first, obviously, is Terry McGinnis in his future Batman suit that has the ability to fly, turn invisible and fire dart projectiles. Joining him is Old Man Bruce Wayne, Terry’s mentor and the original Batman, as well as his trusty dog Ace who can dig up and search for objects like Wolverine in Lego Marvel Super Heroes.

Not to overshadowed by the heroes, players who purchase the add-on will be able to play as some marquis villains from the series, including Blight with the ability to light dark areas and survive in harsh environments, Inque who can slip through certain cracks I’m assuming similar to Venom and Carnage, and “Bonk,” who is a new big fig henchmen character. Two other non-Batman Beyond villains are also included with purchase, the first being Mr. Freeze with his trademark ice cannon and a secret transformation ability, as well as the Joker (no word yet if it’s how he appeared in the direct to DVD film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker) who comes equipped with a laser gun, gas grenades and an electric joy buzzer.
