CANCELLED JUSTICE LEAGUE FILM TIE-IN SCREENS SURFACE

Several years ago, Warner Bros. Studios was actively developing a Justice League film. Unlike what Marel Studios is doing with this summers the Avengers, the film was not going to releate itself to continuity from any previous DC film, including Christopher Nolan’s Batman films and Martin Campbell’s not yet released Green Lantern. The film was set to star actors like Armie Hammer (upcoming The Long Ranger), Adam Brody (TV’s the OC) and directed by George Miller (The Road Warrior, Happy Feet).

What wasn’t known however, is that the movie that didn’t come to be was to have a tie-in videogame. The game was in development by Double Helix, makers of Silent Hill: Homecoming and last summer’s Green Lanter: Rise of the Manhunters. With the film in development hell, the project continued as a standard Justice League title until it was abandoned in favor of the Green Lantern Project.

Art Director and Lead Level Artist Jonathan Gwyn posted some concept art of the title on his personal website, showing heroes such as the Flash, Batman and Wonder Woman outside locations like Wayne Enterprises.
